Websites Clinical Trials (www.clinicaltrials.gov)Participation in trials of new drugs may give you the benefit of newer drugs and free medications. Patients in trials also receive very close follow up. For further information online look at www.clinicaltrials.gov or www.centerwatch.com. Medicare.gov (www.medicare.gov)The U.S. Government site for Medicare recipients compares Medicare approved discount cards and provides other general information. Needymeds (www.needymeds.com)Many pharmaceutical companies offer special programs, which provide prescription medicines free of charge to patients who might otherwise not be able to afford the necessary medications/drugs. These programs are commonly referred to as Patient Assistant Programs (PAP's). Needymeds is the most comprehensive, online information source on patient assistance programs.
